Women in Gaming Africa Expands to Global Stage Through SBC Partnership
Women in Gaming Africa will make its international debut at the SBC Summit in Lisbon this September, representing the first time the African gaming empowerment initiative has extended its influence to a global platform. The partnership with SBC signals a new chapter for the organization, which has previously focused its efforts exclusively within Africa.

Strategic Alliance Opens International Doors
The collaboration positions WiG Africa alongside SBC’s established network of gaming industry leaders, payment providers, and fintech innovators. SBC has built a reputation for hosting influential gatherings that shape discussions about the future of gaming and related sectors. The September 16-18 summit in Lisbon expects to draw approximately 30,000 delegates across six conference stages.
WiG Africa’s participation will encompass representatives from South Africa and West African regions. The organization plans to leverage this opportunity to connect with international industry stakeholders while promoting Africa’s expanding gaming market presence.
Breaking New Ground for African Representation
The partnership represents unprecedented recognition for African gaming interests on the global stage. Lois Bright, founder of WiG Africa, described the collaboration as a significant milestone for continental representation. She noted that SBC’s decision to create dedicated space for African perspectives within the major international conference demonstrates meaningful inclusion efforts.
The summit’s agenda will cover diverse topics including emerging markets, payment systems, affiliate marketing, and player protection measures. Through the “Operator Academy,” attendees will participate in practical workshops designed to enhance industry knowledge and operational capabilities.
