Uganda Regulators Target Unlicensed WINGO Casino Platform
Uganda’s gaming watchdog has issued an urgent warning against an unlicensed online casino platform that falsely claims regulatory approval from authorities that do not exist. The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board identified WINGO Game as operating illegally within the country’s jurisdiction, while misleading users about its licensing status.

False Licensing Claims Exposed
The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board confirmed that WINGO has no connection to any licensed gaming operations in Uganda. The platform falsely advertises authorization from the “Gaming Commission of Uganda,” an entity that does not exist within the country’s regulatory framework.
Under Uganda’s Lotteries and Gaming Act of 2016, only the NLGRB possesses authority to issue licenses for casino operations, betting services, and gaming platforms. WINGO does not appear on the regulator’s official list of licensed companies for 2025, which maintains transparency through a dedicated webpage showing all approved gambling operators.
Broader Enforcement Campaign
The warning against WINGO represents part of Uganda’s wider campaign against illegal gambling operations. The NLGRB collaborates with internet service providers to block unauthorized offshore gambling websites from accessing Ugandan users.
