Uganda National Lottery Announces Winners of Powerball Draw 55
ITHUBA, the operator of the Uganda National Lottery, has announced the latest winners of the Powerball 55 draw, which took place on Friday 13 December 2024. The luckiest winner was Charles Ochieng, winner of a double ticket, who received a cheque for UGX 35,631,700.
Major Winners and Prize Distribution
Four participants won UGX 17,764,400 each, while Charles claimed the top division prize. The cheque was handed over by Stephen Muneza, ITHUBA’s Public Relations Manager, during a ceremony at Banana Lifestyle Shop, Acacia Mall, Kampala. The venue was where Charles had played his winning ticket the previous week.
Additional winners include:
- Two participants who will collect their prizes at ITHUBA regional offices in Mbarara and Gulu.
- Another winner who played using the USSD code *278# and received their prize directly via mobile money.
- One final winner, yet to claim their prize.
Excitement Builds Around the Powerball Jackpot
While the coveted UGX 1.2 billion Powerball jackpot remains unclaimed, UGX 100 million rolled down to the next prize division, enhancing the excitement of the draw. This feature of distributing unclaimed jackpot funds created new winners, adding to the festive cheer.
The winning numbers for the draw were: 17, 27, 37, 38, 42, and the Powerball number was 07.
