Uganda Launches National Central Electronic Monitoring System for Gaming Industry

Impressive Revenue Growth

The gaming sector’s revenue has seen substantial growth, rising from UGX 17.4 billion in FY 2015/2016 to an impressive UGX 151.9 billion in FY 2022/2023. With the new system in place, revenue is projected to reach UGX 160 billion in FY 2023/2024 and UGX 300 billion in FY 2024/2025.

The Online Reporting Module is already operational, with gaming operators integrating into the system. Comtrade D.O.O has initiated the land-based assessment phase, with full system functionality expected by June 2024.
