The Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) has officially announced the release of new Gambling Equipment Standards, marking a crucial step in strengthening the regulation of the country’s gambling industry. These standards, published on April 12, 2024, are now available for purchase.

The newly gazetted standards cover various categories of gambling equipment, including casino equipment, monitoring and control systems, jackpot machines, limited payout machines, and wagering record-keeping software.

These standards have been introduced as part of the Gambling Authority’s ongoing efforts to ensure that gambling activities in Botswana are conducted in a transparent, regulated, and fair manner.
