Live content studio 155.io has entered the African market through an exclusive partnership with Betika. The mobile-first gaming provider will deliver its 24/7 real-world gaming portfolio to players across Uganda and Kenya initially, with plans for broader African expansion.

Real-World Studio Games Target Mobile Users

155.io operates from a 10,000-square-foot warehouse where games are filmed live and broadcast continuously. The portfolio includes Marbles.io, Stairpong.io, and the recently launched Ducks.io, which features eight ducks racing on a real lazy river. Ducks.io incorporates branded characters, including a Donald Trump duck, with additional notorious characters planned for future releases.

All games are designed specifically for mobile users and filmed from real-world studio environments. Betika, which launched in 2016, has established an extensive player base across African markets. The partnership positions both companies to capitalize on Africa’s mobile-first gaming generation and increasing demand for social entertainment content.

Market Expansion Strategy Focuses on Local Understanding

155.io Founder and CEO Sam Jones stated that “Africa represents a huge opportunity for 155.io, with its mobile-first generation and increasing demand for social, entertaining content with a fresh twist. Betika is the perfect partner for our debut in the region, on the back of its reach and true understanding of local markets. Together, we’re bringing 24/7 real-world gaming chaos to a whole new audience.”

The initial launch covers Uganda and Kenya before expanding to additional African markets through Betika’s established network. Betika’s Chief Product Officer Peter Stagles noted that the innovative game lineup complements the operator’s focus on delivering exceptional player experiences. The partnership aims to drive gaming evolution for the next generation of African players through fresh content offerings.
